Facebook pushes video onto TV screens with new apps

This move will be a small step toward what some reports more aspiring video plan by Facebook to compete with Google owned YouTube, or with streaming services such as Netflix etc.

Now apps will simply make it easiest to view and share user generated video. "previous year we rolled out ability for users to stream videos from Facebook to your TV and now today´s announcement expands its capability," said by Dana Sittler product manager and engineering manager Alex Li in blog post.

"With the app you can watch, share, and follow those videos to your friends top live videos from around the world, and recommended videos based on interests." 

Facebook said it anticipates that the applications will roll our "soon" for clients of Apple, Amazon and Samsung, with extra stages prone to be included. Facebook likewise said it was adjusting video playback for clients, with sound to play consequently unless clients hush their gadgets.
