Because of this country’s unique vantage point.This event named the Great American Eclipse and many people solidified their travel plans to get the best view of astronomical phenomenon.

Solar Dynamic Observatory tasked of NASA with staring at Sun every day spotted Moon as it crossed in front of our earth's star on May 25th. The observatory known by the SDO, is currently located more than 22,000 miles above from Earth in orbit that keeps satellite over the New Mexico at all the times. Unlike eclipse we shell see in August 2017, SDO saw was only partial one, so only about the 89% of Sun was fully covered at the one time. But since observatory’s actual responsibility is taking pictures of Sun.
